Eric Hartmann | Sociologist & Sustainability Scientist
I am a researcher and lecturer at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, where I also pursue my PhD. My academic work focuses on sustainability and climate policy. I have a particular emphasis on investigating existing implementation, further potentials and limitations of diverse sustainability strategies, with a particular focus on sufficiency. Additionally, I concentrate on the decarbonization of the economy, exploring pathways to reduce carbon emissions and foster sustainable production and consumption. As a sociologist by training, I bring a strong foundation in understanding the social dimensions of environmental challenges and the importance of integrating societal perspectives into policy-making.
